Last month, Tez celebrated his 63 birthday by planting a

sapling in our yard. He also served our church's VBS by playing Brutus, a Roman soldier who gets saved after guarding Paul living under house arrest.

Our small group Bible study (below) launched a new group with 4 of our members leaving to start their own small group. That has been sad to lose them but encouraging to see spiritual multiplication.

A new one-year Guidepost devotional for animal lovers (left) contains several devotions by Tez. You can order your copy here.  We were also pleasantly surprised to see two of his books featured in our church library (right).

July was a mix of busy times and leisure. Below, Tez coaching small group leaders and Christine relaxing with our dog Winston as we spent time camping with our dear friends.

Finally, for dinner one night, we hosted 9 young adults who are ministry interns at local mission organization. We thought we were blessing them but it was us who ended be blessed when they offered to pray for Christine's healing. She has seen some gradual improvement since then. Praise God.

Please pray for our youngest, Anicah, who is leaving tomorrow for Africa and then the Middle East on a mission trip with these same interns. They are believing God for 70 souls to receive Jesus. Upon her return, she will spending several weeks seeking the Lord's guidance for a full-time ministry career.

Thief Finds Jesus

EAST AFRICA- Wanting to watch the JESUS film in the local language, Jemal (name changed) borrowed his friend’s tablet that contained downloads of Jesus Film Project® resources. He couldn’t wait to watch the film later that night, and he promised to return the tablet the following day.

But Abera, a young man from the same village, stole the tablet from Jemal’s bag without his knowledge and intended to sell it immediately.

Before doing so, Abera checked the contents on the device and saw the JESUS film downloaded in his language. He decided to view the film—and afterward he accepted Christ and repented of his sins!

Meanwhile Jemal discovered that the tablet was missing. Shocked and troubled by the loss, he experienced a sleepless night.

Early the next morning Abera decided to return the tablet. When it came time to meet with Jemal, Abera was eager to tell him how God had changed his life. Instead of stealing to make a profit, Abera started attending an underground church in the area, where he learned how to grow in his new faith. Praise God for stories like this, which your generosity and prayer help make happen.
