Follow Up On Ecuador Earthquake

When the 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Ecuador on April 16, 2016, the impact was massive. A reported 668 people lost their lives and 16,600 were injured.
When it happened, we responded with both humanitarian aid and the "gospel on film." Because of the response, both aid and 12 sets of film equipment were provided to teams caring for the people of Ecuador.

Lives were touched and transformed; here is one example:
A young man named Jonathan had a drug problem. For that reason, he was ashamed to go to the church. But one day the youth leader invited him to a movie dinner at the event room. As the event was not going to be in the church, he agreed to go. Jonathan seemed to be enjoying dinner a lot. He also really enjoyed the movie ("JESUS"). At the end of the dinner, Jonathan, moved by the film, decided to accept Christ in his heart. He left his shame aside and decided to take different steps. After accepting Christ, he asked the youth leader if he could be part of the church.
And, here's a brief report of what God has done because of your prayers and financial support.
  1. More than 5,000 have come to faith in Christ.
  2. 2,000 new small group fellowships have been formed.
  3. 196 new churches or missional communities have been established.
Thank you for praying. Thank you for giving. Please continue to lift up the work and pray for these thousands of new Christians who—for the first time— truly celebrated Easter. And know that your partnership is really making a difference in the lives of people!
Until everyone sees Jesus,
Tez and Christine
